Free Shade Trees

You can get free shade trees through DWP. Read about the Trees for a Green LA program

DWP Residential Energy and Water Saving Programs

The DWP offers incentives to recycle your old refrigerator and buy an energy efficient one. Other appliance incentives are available too. Receive $100 towards an ultra low flush toilet. Read about DWP rebates.

Online Service Requests

You can place service requests for street repair, tree trimming, downed trees or palm fronds in the street online.

This is a service provided by the  Bureau of Street Services.

Property Activity Reports

Did you know that you can view all permit requests for a property online? Click here to access the City's online reporting system. Enter in the address and view the permits.

This is a service provided by the Department of Building and Safety.

Trash pickup continues on all on holidays except:

Local Organizations

Neighborhood Watch
Meetings are held at 7pm every 3rd Thursday at St. Euphrasia Church, located on Shoshone, North of Rinaldi. Meetings provide information about crime in the area and what to be on the lookout for.

S.O.L.I.D.
Supporters of Law Enforcement in Devonshire raises money for equipment needed by LAPD Devonshire Division, but not provided by the City of LA. Their site lists their accomplishments to date and invite contributions.

Castlebay Lane Elementary School
Located in Porter Ranch this school has earned the California Distinguished School Award with an API of 912 and significant parent involvement through PATH, Parents and Teachers Helping.

North Valley YMCA
The YMCA offers adult athletic programs, children's sports classes, a pool, community events, after school programs. The are united in a common effort to put Judeo-Christian principles into practice and to enrich the quality of spiritual, mental, physical and social life for their families, their communities and themselves.

Porter Ranch Library
Located on Tampa, the library is open six days a week, offering reading programs and other community events.

Police Activity League Supporters (PALS)
PALS is a youth program supported by LAPD Devonshire Division and sponsored by local businesses and community leaders. They provide fun and enriching after school and weekend activities for at risk children and teens. PALS is focused on building character in youth and reducing crime. Currently they have a campaign to build a new Youth Activity Center to be located near Tampa and Parthenia. If you would  like to be involved, contact Greg Baker at 818 534-1197.

Community Emergency Response Training
CERT offers disaster training. Sign up on their website. Classes are 2 1/2 hours a week for 7 weeks. Taught by the Fire Department.

Limekiln Canyon Park
Located in the canyon just West of Tampa. Can be access at 11901 Tampa or from the North side of Rinaldi West of Tampa. Includes horse trails, hiking, jogging and picnic tables. Please beware that mountain lions have been sighted and use with caution.

Mason Recreation Center
Located at 10500 Mason Ave. in Chatsworth
Includes playground, baseball diamond, auditorium

Northridge Recreation Center
Located at 18300 Lemarsh St. (East of Reseda, South of Devonshire)
Includes baseball diamonds, soccer fields, basketball courts, playground, gymnasium

Palisades Park
Located between Tampa and Reseda just South of Braemore.
This is a hiking trail with scenic views of the valley.

Porter Ridge Park (ET Park)
Located at Reseda and Sesnon
Includes playground, BBQ pits, picnic tables, outdoor basketball courts.

Viking Park
Located at Viking and Nau Avenues
Includes playground and picnic tables.

Wilbur Tampa Park
Located on the Northeast corner of Wibur and Tampa, 12001 Wilbur Avenue
Includes playground, picnic tables, jogging path and large fields.
