Free Shade Trees

DWP Residential Energy and Water Saving Programs

The DWP offers incentives to recycle your old refrigerator and buy an energy efficient one. Other appliance incentives are available too. Receive $100 towards an ultra low flush toilet. Read about DWP rebates.

Online Service Requests

You can place service requests for street repair, tree trimming, downed trees or palm fronds in the street online.

This is a service provided by the  Bureau of Street Services.

Property Activity Reports

Did you know that you can view all permit requests for a property online? Click here to access the City's online reporting system. Enter in the address and view the permits.

This is a service provided by the Department of Building and Safety.

Trash pickup continues on all on holidays except:

-July 4th
-Labor Day
-Thanksgiving Day

Committee Goals

  1. Review land use issues and recommend to the PRNC Board to approve, disapprove, or take no action. The Board then advises the City Council member of the PRNC recommendation.

  2. Place special emphasis on the concerns identified by PRNC Stakeholders:

  1. New construction projects to follow the Porter Ranch Land Use/Transportation Specific Plan effective December 29, 2003

  2. New school sites planned for Porter Ranch

  3. New Community Center planned for Porter Ranch

  4. New commercial center planned for Porter Ranch

  5. Community parks in Porter Ranch
    Traffic congestion

  6. New crossing/traffic light on Tampa avenue for the Porter Ranch Library

  7. New traffic light on Rinaldi and Mason

  8. “Quality of Life” standards for Porter Ranch stakeholders

Committee Results

  • Two meetings with the Porter Ranch Development Company to discuss PRNC issues

  • Issued a letter to Mayor Hahn and Councilman Greig Smith requesting a new crossing/traffic light on Tampa Avenue for the Porter Ranch Library.

  • Issued a letter to Mayor Hahn and all City Council Members outlining the PRNC position on the proposed Inclusionary Zoning Ordinance

  • Reviewed and analyzed the SCAG Long Range Regional Transit plan to identify its potential impact on Porter Ranch

  • Met with the Granada Hills North Neighborhood Council regarding construction projects along Aliso Canyon

  • Established a sub-committee to monitor status of the proposed Las Lomas project
